Muska Films

Founded in 2013, Muska Films is an acclaimed independent film production company based in Haiti, celebrated for its groundbreaking approach to storytelling. With a commitment to creating impactful documentaries and narrative films, Muska Films shines a spotlight on social issues and cultural narratives that resonate globally. Our editorial vision delves into the profound themes of society, human rights, and politics. We are dedicated to producing films that not only entertain but also engage audiences on a deep, emotional level by illuminating underrepresented stories and voices.

In 2017, Muska Films produced its first film, Kafou, directed by Bruno Mourral. This film's success earned it selections at more than thirty festivals, five international awards, and nine nominations, including Best Narrative Feature at the Austin Film Festival and the Orlando Film Festival in 2017. This achievement led MovieMaker Magazine to name our writing team as one of the 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2018. Continuing our trajectory of success, in 2024, Muska Films produced its first feature film, Kidnapping Inc., which was selected for the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.

At Muska Films, we believe in the transformative power of cinema. Our mission is to harness this power to foster understanding, provoke thoughtful dialogue, and inspire meaningful action. Through our films, we strive to answer existential questions, awaken consciences, and promote critical thinking. We aim to spark conversations and encourage debate and exchange around challenging topics, thereby contributing to a more informed and reflective society.

Muska Films remains steadfast in its pursuit to create films that are not only artistically compelling but also socially significant, continually pushing the boundaries of storytelling to awaken and engage the global audience.
